Saudi Arabia's Insurance Authority has launched the first phase of its Innovation Lab and opened applications through the regulatory sandbox. The initiative allows startups and innovators to test insurance products and services in a flexible, secure environment under the authority’s direct supervision. The lab, part of the National Insurance Sector Strategy, will also provide advisory services and training programs to support insurance innovation and InsurTech development. The regulatory sandbox was previously activated as an enabling platform and now operates as one of the lab’s programs.
