The Bank of Spain, the Spanish Securities Commission (CNMV) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise renewed their cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports under the Financial Education Plan, reinforcing a joint framework to strengthen citizens’ financial skills from the earliest stages of education. The plan, branded Finanzas Para Todos, aims to improve financial knowledge, skills and attitudes to support informed and responsible decision-making throughout life, and the renewed partnership is positioned as a step toward progressively integrating financial education into the education system. The Bank of Spain is carrying out an external evaluation of its work in this area, including how to work more directly with teachers, while CNMV highlighted the need for ongoing teacher training on new financial risks affecting young people in an increasingly digital environment where many frauds and scams originate.
