The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan has warned the public about fraudulent advertisements circulating on social networks and messaging platforms that claim to help people obtain concessional loans. The bank said scammers are using forged documents and fabricated reviews posted through bots to gain trust, and urged citizens not to believe such messages or transfer money to unknown individuals. The central bank said information for financial transactions should be obtained only from official sources. It also reiterated that, as a regulator, it does not provide banking services to individuals, does not lend to the public, does not request money transfers, and does not send official documents or employee identification through messaging apps. People who believe they have been deceived were told to block their bank card immediately and contact law enforcement authorities.
