The Egmont Group Secretariat hosted senior representatives from FIU Kazakhstan, including leadership of the Financial Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to strengthen operational cooperation among member financial intelligence units. The engagement focused on reinforcing collaboration and aligning on initiatives to improve information sharing and capacity building. Participants included Mr. Zhanat Elimanov, Chairman of the Financial Monitoring Agency, and Mr. Ulan Raissov, First Deputy Chairman and Egmont Regional Representative for the Eurasia Region, alongside two additional FIU Kazakhstan representatives. Discussions covered upcoming projects and initiatives within Egmont Working Groups and ECOFEL, perspectives on regional priorities, and potential strategies to enhance member FIU collaboration.
