The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Mutual Understanding on jointly developing the startup ecosystem and organising mutual events, in the context of the GOV Challenge: AI Connect competition. Under the memorandum, the parties plan to organise acceleration, incubation and mentoring programmes for startups, expand cooperation with local and international venture funds and accelerators, integrate innovative solutions into the state and banking systems, support and broaden the participation of young entrepreneurs, and hold joint events including Startup Day, Investor Meeting and Demo Day.
