Hong Kong's Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau announced that the Financial Secretary has reappointed 12 members of the Accounting and Financial Reporting Council’s Advisory Committee. Their two-year terms run from Aug. 1, 2026, to July 31, 2028. The committee advises the council on policies related to its regulatory objectives and functions. Government-appointed members, who represent accounting practitioners, service users and other stakeholders, may also second candidate nominations in Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants council elections.
