Discussions also covered the economic opportunities and risks from artificial intelligence, trade uncertainty and the evolving regulatory landscape. U.S. Federal Reserve Governor Christopher J. Waller assessed the U.S. economic and monetary policy outlook, including the role of economic projections in policy communication and the importance of a data driven approach. Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey addressed the effects of growth, supply chains and changing market structures on financial stability, emphasizing the roles of monetary and fiscal policy and stronger financial markets. Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye Governor Fatih Karahan and Bank for International Settlements General Manager Pablo Hernández de Cos also discussed how central banks have adapted policy frameworks and communication strategies to heightened uncertainty.
