The National Bank of Moldova published a draft Executive Committee decision to amend Annex 1 to the regulation governing how the official exchange rate of the Moldovan leu against foreign currencies is set, by removing the Bulgarian lev (BGN) from the list. The draft amendment would delete the Annex 1 position “975 BGN Bulgarian lev” from the regulation approved under the National Bank of Moldova Board decision No. 3/2009. The decision would enter into force on 2 January 2026.

The National Bank of Moldova has released a draft decision to amend the regulation on setting the official exchange rate of the Moldovan leu by removing the Bulgarian lev (BGN) from the list. This amendment will take effect on 2 January 2026.
