Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets board member Jos Heuvelman was made an Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau during his farewell reception on Sept. 1, 2026. Social Affairs and Employment Minister Hans Vijlbrief presented the royal distinction in recognition of Heuvelman’s public service. The award recognized Heuvelman’s contributions to confidence in financial markets, including his work on the pension transition and consumers’ financial resilience and literacy. It also reflected more than 40 years of leadership as a central banker and financial supervisor in the Netherlands and Europe, alongside 37 years of volunteer work.
