Over the past two years, pension wealth has risen by DKK 601bn, mainly driven by large capital gains on equities and bonds. Higher pension contributions also supported the increase, with net contributions of DKK 48bn in 2024; contributions have risen in recent years partly reflecting wage increases and higher employment.
