The Central Bank of Latvia's Supervision Committee has granted Bleap SIA a licence to provide crypto-asset services. The authorisation allows the firm to exchange crypto-assets for funds and to exchange crypto-assets for other crypto-assets. Issued under the European Union Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, the licence also allows Bleap to offer those services across the EU through the cross-border notification mechanism. Bleap is the ninth company authorised by the Central Bank of Latvia since the EU's unified legal framework for the crypto-asset sector entered into force. For prospective applicants, the central bank highlights its licensing guides and pre-licensing consultations, which cover the application process, required documentation, review deadlines and an initial assessment of compliance with regulatory requirements.
