The Thailand Securities & Exchange Commission has revamped its SEC Anti-Scam Center into a single online hub for investment fraud and scam information, bringing together alerts, assistance tools, tip-off and consultation channels, and educational material in one place. It also launched the One Step Ahead campaign with Meta Platforms Inc. to widen access to scam warnings and give the public additional channels to report threats on Facebook and Instagram. The upgraded platform consolidates the SEC's existing resources and tools to make information easier to find and use, including content aimed at helping investors verify information and assess credibility before investing. The broader anti-scam effort also includes cooperation with public and private sector partners to disrupt fraudsters' channels through measures such as blocking channels, screening accounts before investment-related advertisements are published, and removing fraudulent content from platforms. The SEC said consultations on investment fraud and scams reached 3,939 in the first five months of 2026, up 208% from a year earlier. The Anti-Scam Center upgrade forms part of the SEC's 2026-2028 strategy and its 3Cs framework of Consultation, Communication and Collaboration for tackling digital investment fraud.
