The Angola Capital Markets Commission participated in a special “Wednesdays of the Order” session hosted by the Order of Accountants and Accounting Experts of Angola (OCPCA) in Luanda on 28 May, focused on the importance of quality control for OCPCA members. The event brought together accounting, tax and audit professionals, representatives of the Court of Accounts, the Ministry of Finance and the General Inspectorate of State Administration, as well as Portuguese delegations from the Order of Certified Accountants (OCC) and the Order of Statutory Auditors (OROC). In closing remarks, CMC board member Edna Mascarenhas underscored the ongoing relevance of quality control for strengthening the accounting profession in Angola and highlighted the CMC–OCPCA partnership in the ongoing drafting of a law on the legal regime for supervision of audit activity.
