The Algeria Market Authority published an account of a high-level Chairman Talk held during the Third Annual Conference of the Algerian Financial Market, where the heads of the market regulators of Algeria, Oman, Tunisia and Libya met with the secretary general of the Union of Arab Financial Market Authorities. The session focused on strengthening regional regulatory cooperation and advancing the integration of Arab financial markets. Discussions were structured around four main themes: the current performance of Arab financial markets and the challenges they face, the role of fintech and innovative financing in economic development and broader access to funding, stronger Arab coordination through exchanges of regulatory experience and best practices, and future market development tied to digital transformation, financial sustainability and long-term strategic planning. In that context, COSOB Chairman Youcef Bouzenada highlighted reforms under way in Algeria, ongoing modernization projects and opportunities linked to digitalization and financial innovation.
