The Bank of Mauritius has issued an addendum to its request for proposals for refurbishment works at its Rodrigues office, extending the bid submission deadline to 14 August 2026 at 23:59 local time from 30 July 2026. The addendum also clarifies multiple technical and pricing points raised by potential bidders at the 13 July 2026 pre-bid meeting, including changes to the scope of certain works and specifications bidders must use in their submissions. The clarifications revise several building requirements. These include replacing sliding doors with swing doors for a counter with shelves, bidding for a new flush door, installing a full-height metal partition in the Currency Office, and specifying dimensions for a brass plate and a view panel. The Bank removed some work from scope, including painting of store walls, while limiting store flooring replacement to the walkway passage only. It also replaced the original facade painting requirement with a narrower scope covering specified roller shutter interiors and exteriors, required replacement of granite cladding behind the Bank's letterings and logo with removal and reinstatement of the existing signage, and added 14 meters of wall guards inside three cubicles. The Bank confirmed the existing property value at Rs50 million and kept the defects liability period at 365 days. Interested bidders will be granted an approximately two-hour slot for measurement purposes, with the date to be communicated later by the Bank.
