The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan ran a programme of activities to raise the financial literacy of conscript and contract military personnel. The initiative was delivered under the Fingramota.kz project in cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office, with support from the bank and microfinance ombudsman offices. Training lectures, seminars and consultations were held across all regions of the country and in a number of military units, garrisons, academies and institutes. In total, 45 events were conducted, covering responsible use of financial products, personal finance management and countering financial fraud, and reaching more than 10,000 service members.
