The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo’s Governor Ahmet Ismaili hosted Saudi Arabia’s non-resident Ambassador to Kosovo, Faisal Ghazi Ismail Hifzi, accompanied by a delegation from the Federation of Saudi Chambers, as part of the delegation’s visit to Kosovo to explore investment opportunities and institutional cooperation. Governor Ismaili briefed participants on current developments in the financial sector and the central bank’s work to safeguard financial stability and support policies promoting financial education and inclusion. The discussion also covered how the financial sector can support investment, Kosovo’s attractiveness for foreign investment in the context of legal and infrastructure upgrades linked to European integration, expected business facilitation from Kosovo’s membership in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), and the ongoing “TIPS Clone” fast payments system project. The ambassador welcomed further dialogue with Kosovo institutions, including the central bank, and both sides agreed to examine areas for cooperation of mutual economic interest.
