The France Autorité des marchés financiers has clarified on its GECO database that alternative investment funds may be marketed in France only to professional investors. It notes that European Long-Term Investment Funds (ELTIF), European Venture Capital Funds (EuVECA) and European Social Entrepreneurship Funds (EuSEF) may also be marketed to other investors, subject to the conditions in their respective regulations.
