The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has named Raagnee Beri director of its Whistleblower Office, which supports the agency’s enforcement program by administering monetary incentives and anti-retaliation protections for individuals who report possible violations of the Commodity Exchange Act. Beri moves into the role after serving as a trial attorney in the Division of Enforcement and as a senior assistant general counsel in the Litigation Branch of the Office of the General Counsel, including work on whistleblower appeal litigation. Before joining the CFTC, she was a trial attorney in the Department of Justice Tax Division and earlier clerked for the Northern District of Indiana and the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
