Hong Kong's Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau announced that the Financial Secretary, under authority delegated by the Chief Executive, has reappointed Ms Connie Lau Yin-hing as Chairperson of the Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board for a three-year term starting 1 July 2025, alongside new appointments and reappointments to the Board. For the same period, Mrs Helen Kan Ng Chau-yuk and Professor Darwin Choi have been appointed as members, and Mr Andrew Mak Yip-shing has been reappointed. The Government also noted the departure of outgoing members Professor Chan Koon-hung and Professor Matthew Lee Kwok-on after six years of service. The appointments, made under the Deposit Protection Scheme Ordinance, were gazetted, and the Board continues to manage the operation of Hong Kong’s Deposit Protection Scheme.
