Payments Canada has appointed Patrick Boudreau as Vice-President, Fraud and Financial Crimes, effective 30 April 2026. He will lead the organisation’s strategy to protect Canada’s national payment infrastructure against evolving financial crime risks. The role includes oversight of the National Payment Fraud Services (NPFS) platform, which provides monitoring and alerting tools for the forthcoming Real-Time Rail (RTR). Boudreau will also act as a liaison with Payments Canada members, regulators and other stakeholders, including the National Anti-Scam Coalition, with a focus on strengthening collaboration and data sharing across the ecosystem. Payments Canada highlighted his more than 20 years of experience in fraud and identity, including senior roles at TransUnion, PC Financial, Equifax and RBC.
