The Central Bank of Peru published data showing that non traditional exports totaled USD 5.368 billion in the first quarter of 2026, up 3.3 percent from the same period a year earlier. The increase was driven mainly by a 2.5 percent rise in export prices, with shipped volumes contributing a smaller 0.7 percent increase. In March, non traditional agricultural exports reached USD 754 million, rising 5.9 percent year on year, mainly on the back of a 4.7 percent increase in the average export price. Shipment volumes increased 1.1 percent, supported by higher exports of blueberries, pomegranates and avocados, whose volumes rose 63.8 percent, 24.1 percent and 21.3 percent, respectively. Non traditional fishery exports totaled USD 208 million in March, up 18.3 percent from a year earlier, as export volumes increased 59.5 percent because of greater availability of jumbo flying squid biomass. From January to March, non traditional agricultural exports amounted to USD 2.758 billion, up 4.8 percent, while non traditional fishery exports reached USD 583 million, up 49.5 percent.
