The National Bank of Moldova’s Executive Committee has designated the banks considered other systemically important institutions (O-SIIs) in Moldova and set the corresponding O-SII capital buffer rates under the applicable banking law and the national O-SII identification methodology. The designated O-SIIs are BC “MAIB” S.A., BC “Moldindconbank” S.A., OTP Bank S.A. and B.C. “Victoriabank” S.A. The O-SII buffer rates were set at 1.5% for MAIB, 1.0% for Moldindconbank, and 0.5% for both OTP Bank and Victoriabank, with the buffer rates to be reviewed at least annually. The decision enters into force from its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova on 16 April 2026.
