The Angola Capital Markets Commission participated in the 15th meeting of the African Financial Inclusion Policy Initiative, hosted by the National Bank of Angola, in a forum focused on financial inclusion policy and cooperation among African regulators and financial institutions. The meeting was aimed at supporting the development of financial inclusion policies, strengthening regulatory frameworks and improving coordination of regional capacity-building and peer-learning initiatives through the exchange of experience and good practices. Participants reviewed progress in implementing financial inclusion strategies across Africa, discussed the main challenges that remain in the sector and identified innovative solutions to expand public access to financial services. The commission's delegation was led by Chairman Elmer Serrão and included Executive Director Vasco Januário and Dalvim Pipa, director of studies, strategy, development and communication. The meeting also brought together central bank governors, regulatory leaders, policymakers and financial inclusion specialists from across the continent.
