At two capital market conferences, Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency Deputy President Anamarija Staničić outlined three initiatives intended to expand Croatia’s investment ecosystem: the RoadToMarket sandbox, a proposed SPOT market for unlisted shares and efforts to improve regulatory competitiveness. The remarks continue the agency’s focus on practical measures to connect companies with investors and direct savings toward productive investment. The sandbox helps companies assess financing options ranging from venture capital and private equity to public markets, rather than steering them specifically toward an initial public offering. The proposed SPOT market could improve exit opportunities and bridge private markets and IPOs. Regulatory work is focused on removing unnecessary burdens and national gold-plating while preserving investor protection and financial stability. Staničić said Croatia also needs more investment-ready companies and better exit routes, arguing that many businesses lack information about available forms of capital rather than access to capital itself.
