The Central Bank of Iraq held a coordination meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Electricity's Renewable Energy Center, the National Initiative for Energy and Emissions Reduction team, and the National Center for Digital Transformation in the Prime Minister's Office to advance implementation of its renewable energy initiative. The bank confirmed that financing for renewable energy systems will continue under the previously approved mechanisms and controls, while procedures for beneficiaries are being refined to expand the use of clean energy systems and widen access to funding for citizens and projects. The meeting covered application and financing processes, coordination between the relevant bodies, and proposals to simplify procedures, address pending applications and improve workflow. Participants agreed to continue joint coordination and complete the necessary steps to support execution of the initiative in line with the simplified mechanisms already published.

The Central Bank of Iraq said its initiative to finance renewable energy systems will continue under the previously approved rules.
