The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission has extended the compliance deadline for listed companies to appoint a female independent director to their boards under condition 1(2)(a) of the Corporate Governance Code 2018. The previous deadline for meeting this requirement was 29 April 2025, as set through the Corporate Governance Code 2018 notification and a subsequent amendment. Listed companies now have until 31 December 2025 to complete the appointment.

The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission has extended the deadline for listed companies to appoint a female independent director to their boards under the Corporate Governance Code 2018. The new compliance deadline is 31 December 2025.
