The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has appointed five new members to its Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee for four-year terms, adding them to the 15 current Commission-appointed members. The committee advises the Commission on rules, regulations, and policy matters affecting small businesses, including smaller public companies. The new members are Anya Coverman of the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives, Joseph Lucosky of Lucosky Brookman LLP, Andrew Prystai of EventVesta, Rodrigo Seira of Cooley LLP, and Erik Syvertsen of AngelList. Alongside the Commission-appointed members, the committee includes three non-voting members appointed by the SEC’s Investor Advocate, the North American Securities Administrators Association, and the Small Business Administration, as well as an observer appointed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
