The Central Bank of Russia published its review of management company indicators for the second quarter of 2026, reporting that net inflows into unit investment funds (UIFs) recovered from the first-quarter decline and rose 1.6% to RUB 832.7 billion. UIFs accounted for more than 80% of the increase in net asset value, while funds under trust management agreements contributed another 16%. Open-end funds drove the increase as investors favored debt securities and money market strategies. Demand for bond funds weakened sharply in June after the market revised its expectations for the key rate path. Net inflows into closed-end UIFs fell 2.9% from the previous quarter, reflecting a nearly 50% decline for corporate funds and a 4% drop for retail funds, although investments in individual closed-end UIFs grew significantly. Retail trust management growth was concentrated among non-qualified investors holding RUB 10,000 to RUB 100,000, whose number increased by 2,800. Total assets under trust management rose 5% to RUB 3.7 trillion by the end of the quarter.
