Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) renewed the “Sáasil” badge for Seguros Monterrey New York Life (SMNYL) in recognition of its “Vida Mujer” insurance product, which CONDUSEF positions as a women-focused solution combining protection, savings and support aimed at financial autonomy. The Sáasil badge, in place since 2023, distinguishes financial institutions that make real, measurable and sustained efforts to incorporate a gender perspective into product design, internal policies and organisational culture. CONDUSEF highlighted Vida Mujer’s coverage and benefits tailored to different life stages and women’s specific needs, including coverage for gynaecological conditions, economic protection for obstetric and neonatal events, death and total or permanent disability protection, clear and non-discriminatory terms, and gender-focused financial education for economic autonomy and wealth planning. CONDUSEF also used the renewal to encourage more financial institutions to develop products intentionally designed for women and to raise quality standards across the market.
