The Central Bank of Colombia announced that users of its Foreign Exchange Information System will access the application through the new Citizen Authentication System (SAUC) from 16 March 2026, replacing the current access method. SAUC is designed to remove the need for digital certificates and provide a faster, more user-friendly interface while keeping existing security parameters (username, password and verification code). The new authentication process also allows additional options such as configuring more than one email address and/or more than one authentication device, and is intended to centralise access to multiple Central Bank of Colombia services in one place. To use the system, users must complete enrolment in SAUC, accept terms and conditions, and confirm their registered email address. Existing users do not need to register again but must complete the SAUC enrolment procedure; supporting materials and dedicated support channels are available during migration.
