The action brings the number of unauthorized websites blocked under IVASS’s powers since November 2023 to 403. Blocking is underway and may take several days for technical reasons. IVASS warned consumers against insurance offers involving contact through instant messaging or text messages, requests for payment using prepaid credit cards, and websites absent from its official lists of supervised insurers and insurance intermediaries.
