The Ministry of National Economy and Finance published a readout of talks in Bucharest between Minister and Eurogroup President Kyriakos Pierrakakis and Romanian President Nicușor Dan. The discussions focused on expanding bilateral economic cooperation in investment, trade, energy and interconnections. Deputy Minister Thanos Petralias also participated. The officials also addressed European economic challenges, including the need to strengthen competitiveness and the productive base and mobilize more European capital for defense, energy and technology investment. Pierrakakis highlighted the potential for Greece and Romania to support growth, energy security and regional cooperation in Southeast Europe.
