The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission has conducted an on-site review in Tha Toom, Prachin Buri, to assess road accident risk points and gather local evidence for its 2026 road safety and motor accident victim protection work. The visit is intended to help shape a “model safe-road community” approach based on conditions in each area rather than relying only on reported statistics. The Office reviewed frequent accident locations including the intersection near Eua Arthorn Tha Toom Village on Road 304 and the Phra Phrom intersection, and collected information from local officials and residents on traffic conditions, repeat accident points, road user behavior and existing safety measures. It said the findings will be combined with accident and insurance data to identify targeted prevention measures and to improve public understanding of rights under compulsory motor insurance so accident victims can access protection more quickly. The delegation also visited the Smart Thatoom control center, which uses CCTV and image analysis technology for traffic monitoring, vehicle tracking and real-time emergency checks, with the information from the visit set to feed into further risk analysis, accident prevention measures and continued coordination with local agencies.
