The Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA) issued a warning about alleged unauthorised virtual asset service activity linked to the website kkex.com, which it says is operated by KKEX Technology Co., Ltd. The FSA stated that the company does not, and has never, had authorisation to operate under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2024. The notice adds that KKEX Technology Co., Ltd was struck off and dissolved as of 18 December 2024 and is therefore no longer a legal entity. Consumers were reminded to verify that any virtual asset service provider and related products are licensed or authorised and regulated in the jurisdiction from which they claim to operate, noting that the FSA publishes lists of authorised or licensed non-bank financial services providers, including virtual asset services, as well as registrations of Initial Coin Offerings and Non-Fungible Tokens. The FSA said it will continue monitoring activity in this domain and encouraged the public to report suspected unauthorised or unlicensed virtual asset service provider activity via the reporting form on its website.
