The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic held the annual financial literacy campaign “World Savings Day” at the A. Osmonov National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic, coordinating a financial fair and speaker sessions with partner organisations. The programme focused on savings behaviour, the deposit protection system and personal financial security. Representatives from government bodies and market institutions took part, including the Kyrgyz Republic’s Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Deposit Protection Agency, the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyzstan non-state pension fund, the Guarantee Fund, and financial sector participants such as commercial banks and microfinance organisations. Attendees received information on basic banking services, including deposit product terms, opening accounts and payment cards, alongside Q&A consultations, interactive games and quizzes, with around 400 participants overall.
