The Brazilian Pension Funds Authority (PREVIC) briefed Brazil’s Minister of Social Security on ongoing projects aimed at strengthening integrity and governance across complementary pension entities, including the launch of its Integrar programme. Integrar is designed to promote governance, identify and monitor integrity risks, and provide staff training. The discussion also covered closer operational alignment between the Ministry of Social Security and PREVIC, with an emphasis on rigorous handling of complaints and accountability. PREVIC’s president highlighted the creation of Simplifica PREVIC, intended to make supervisory language more accessible, and the meeting also addressed audit, the flow for processing complaints, supervision, Brazil’s General Data Protection Law, and the protection of members’ and beneficiaries’ interests.
