The Qatar Financial Centre concluded a delegation visit to Beijing and Hong Kong with two memoranda of understanding aimed at expanding institutional cooperation, investment links and cross-border business between Qatar and China. The agreements cover cooperation between financial ecosystems and initiatives connecting businesses with market opportunities and relevant organizations. The memorandum with the Beijing Financial Street Services Bureau provides for knowledge and talent exchanges and joint initiatives. The agreement with the Belt and Road General Chamber of Commerce covers business networking, business-to-business initiatives, market and industry information exchanges, and organizational introductions. During the 2026 Belt and Road Summit, Qatar Financial Centre Chief Executive Officer Mansoor Rashid Al-Khater also identified green energy, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure as emerging areas for investment, with Islamic finance among the potential funding sources.
