The rules will take effect on January 4, 2027, become fully applicable on February 3, 2027, and were published alongside the results of the public consultation.

Japan's Ministry of Finance promulgated rules implementing amendments to the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act. They will take effect on January 4, 2027, and become fully applicable on February 3, 2027.
