Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Finance announced that Finance Minister Mohammed Aljadaan will head the Kingdom’s delegation to the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) in Washington, D.C., scheduled for 13–18 April 2026. The Ministry also confirmed that Aljadaan will chair the IMF’s International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) during the meetings. The delegation will include the Governor of the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) Ayman Al-Sayari and senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, SAMA, the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), and the National Debt Management Center (NDMC). On the sidelines, Aljadaan and Al-Sayari will participate in the first Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting held under the United States G20 Presidency. The IMFC will discuss global economic developments, growth prospects, challenges facing the global economy, and approaches to strengthen international financial system stability and multilateral cooperation, while the WBG Development Committee will address priority economic and development topics, including the WBG’s strategic directions and its approach to supporting job creation.
