The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo published an update on Governor Ahmet Ismaili’s separate meetings with the Executive Directors for the Kosovo constituencies at the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank during the institutions’ Spring Meetings, focusing on ongoing cooperation and technical support. Discussions with IMF Executive Director Yigit Yasar covered projects underway with the IMF and further support for strengthening the central bank’s institutional capacity and financial supervision. In the meeting with World Bank Executive Director Nathalie Francken, the parties reviewed cooperation on financial sector projects, including Kosovo’s integration into SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) and development of the TIPS Clone fast payments system, alongside World Bank support on the legal framework, capacity building and implementation assistance.
