The Pensions Superintendency reported that the regulation for the complementary pension plan for career members of the Public Ministry has entered into force. Announced by the attorney general in the presence of SIPEN Superintendent Francisco A. Torres, the measure allows prosecutors to access the plan once they are older than 60 and have accumulated more than 25 years of service in the public administration. The complementary plan is attached to the Retirement Fund created under Law 133-11 and will be financed by contributions from members of the Public Ministry career track and from the Attorney General's Office as employer. The Superior Council of the Public Ministry adopted the proposal to set retirement eligibility from age 60 combined with 25 years of service, and it also included prosecutors who had already begun lifetime annuity or early pension processes. Eligible applicants must submit a complementary pension application form, a copy of their identity card, proof of the base pension issued by the pension fund administrator or the General Directorate of Retirement and Pensions, and supporting pension documents.
