The Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme, launched the Small and Medium Industries and Large Enterprises Embracing Sustainability (SEC SMILEES) Roadshow in Tagaytay City to promote sustainability reporting among small, medium, and large enterprises, including non-listed businesses. The roadshow is designed to raise awareness and build capacity for firms to measure, monitor, and disclose environmental, social, and governance impacts, promoting the use of globally recognised tools and frameworks aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative standards and the International Financial Reporting Standards on sustainability. SEC Commissioner Rogelio V. Quevedo highlighted the SEC’s digitalisation agenda and introduced the E-SEC Nature platform, launched in May 2025, as a collaboration and advocacy hub, alongside references to the SEC’s United Nations ISAR honours for sustainability efforts; the programme is supported by the Government of Canada through UNDP’s Accelerating Green and Climate Finance Project.
