Argentina’s Superintendency of Insurance (SSN) participated in the Patagonia National Insurance Forum 2025 in Neuquén, where Superintendent Guillermo Plate opened the event and framed insurance as essential to supporting regional economic growth, with a particular focus on Patagonia’s energy-driven expansion. The forum, held for the first time in the Patagonian region, brought together provincial and municipal authorities and insurance market participants and was organised by APAS Sur Patagonia and APAS Nor Patagonia with support from FAPASA. Plate highlighted insurance intermediaries as a key part of the system for advising clients and identifying problems early, and reiterated solvency as the central pillar of insurance, linking it to the SSN’s supervisory responsibilities to oversee, control and strengthen the market. The agenda included panels on market challenges such as the role of industry chambers, prevention and road safety, the impact of technology, new distribution tools, regional economic conditions, and innovation and digital transformation.
