Jamaica’s Ministry of Finance and the Public Service announced the results of the 2025 Public Bodies’ Corporate Governance Awards, with the National Health Fund retaining the Greta Bogues Award for Overall Excellence in Corporate Governance, the highest public sector corporate governance distinction. The awards recognized performance during the 2024/25 financial year across nine categories and were presented at a reception hosted with the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica. The National Health Fund also won the Jamaica Stock Exchange Award for Best Annual Report, the Jamaica Stock Exchange Award for Best Website and the Financial Secretary’s Award for Risk Measurement and Internal Controls, and placed second runner-up for the Finance Minister’s Award for Board Composition, Functions and Structure. The Factories Corporation of Jamaica won that board composition award, was first runner-up for the overall Greta Bogues Award and shared first place with the Development Bank of Jamaica for the Ann-Marie Rhoden Award for Compliance and Disclosure of Information. The Development Bank of Jamaica also won the PSOJ Award for Most Improved Public Body, while Petrojam Limited was second runner-up overall and received the PSOJ Award for Most Outstanding Chairman. Although the 2025 awards gala was cancelled following Hurricane Melissa, the independent evaluation of nominated public bodies had already been completed.
