The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Croatia to support financial system stability and strengthen coordination in financial market cases. The agreement focuses on capital market protection, the prevention of insider trading and related money laundering, the confiscation of unlawfully obtained proceeds, and the protection of the financial interests of the Republic of Croatia. The arrangement provides for cooperation within each institution’s legal competences and is intended to support more effective handling of cases involving financial markets and financial services. In practice, it will centre on faster information exchange and the mutual provision of expert and technical assistance in specific cases, with the aim of improving the effectiveness of criminal prosecution and the broader capital market protection framework.
