The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) has reminded all licensed insurance companies in Ontario that they must file the Annual Auto Insurance Attestation, signed by the chief executive officer or the most senior officer responsible for operations in Ontario, attesting that the company adheres to Ontario laws. FSRA is making the requirement under section 442.3 of the Insurance Act to promote high standards of business conduct. The signed attestation must be submitted by email by 31 October 2025. Insurers must also report all Minor Rating and Underwriting Rule Errors for the period 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2025 by 16 February 2026, using FSRA’s published attestation forms and questionnaires (including a Facility Association-specific form).
