The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic said Chairperson Almaz Baketaev held an open dialogue with representatives of the country’s commercial banks to gather direct feedback on current challenges, problems and proposals for developing banking services. The discussion covered regulatory burden, digitalisation of services, consumer protection, the introduction of new technological solutions and ways to improve interaction between the central bank and the financial market. In the context of the meeting, the central bank said the dialogue created a basis for continued engagement with the banking community. Both sides indicated they were ready to work jointly on solutions for the sustainable development of the republic’s financial system.
