The bank clarified that the quarterly balance of payments is compiled from a combined system of representative primary data sources, including company surveys, while the monthly estimate is based on a smaller database. Although the monthly report uses as much available information as possible for the reference month, including administrative sources and international payment reports, it remains partly subjective and is therefore presented as an estimate; once the quarterly balance of payments is released, the monthly figures are adjusted accordingly. The balance of payments for the second quarter of 2025 is scheduled for publication on 10 September 2025.
