The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority participated in a World Maritime Day 2026 workshop in Tanga, using the event to explain the role of insurance in protecting property, businesses and other activities against maritime transport risks. The workshop brought together government officials, maritime transport stakeholders and students under the theme of moving from policy to implementation to strengthen safety, efficiency and sustainable development in the sector. The authority also used the associated exhibitions to promote greater understanding and appropriate use of insurance services.
